I’m on YOUTUBE.

Here’s the channel. Subscribe there, if you like.

I wish I could tell you there was some fun, hilariously-well-thought-out, essay-worthy reason for me starting a YouTube channel. But the truth is, I just wanted to start one. I’ve always wanted to.

We cut the cord ten plus years ago, and the majority of what we watch at home are YouTubers that run the gamut from younger, college-aged creators who live in theme parks, to retirees who teach cooking lessons (and are even better than the chefs on Food Network, in my humble opinion). It’s become the thing I love to watch.

So, why shouldn’t I join this community I love so much? 41 isn’t too old to start a channel… right?

And there you have it. That little idea burrowed its way into my head, and before I knew it, I bought a camera and started making videos.

There’s already a little bit of everything on the channel: some travelogues from my recent trip abroad, a video of me tasting a disgusting soda, and yes, one about something author-related. I think I’ll post even more of those in the future. I’m just having fun at the moment. It’s very experimental.

So, it’s really just another way you can follow me. Enjoy! “Like and subscribe,” as the kids say. “And smash that bell.” Whatever that means.
